My name is Kelson Maloy & im a survivor ❤️🩹 I kept quiet for years about what happened #to me. Only a few close people knew what happened to me. When it first happened, I kept saying “I drank too much. I shouldn’t have done that.” A person that I was close with at the time told me “It doesnt matter how many drinks you had. You did not deserve that.” Im almost 28. May will make 9 years since it happened. Although I tried to not let it define me, it did effect me in more ways than one. It still does. Everyone talked about me for years. Made fun of me. The man that opened the door and seen what they were doing to me, he did nothing. He just closed the door. About a year later, he messaged me and apologized and told me how bad he felt. The fact that these men have families and are so popular and well known in the community makes me sick to my stomach. If you see something, SAY SOMETHING. Protect them if you can. Call someone. It is NEVER your fault! It doesnt matter how many drinks you had, it doesnt matter what you were wearing, it doesnt matter how flirty you were being. No means NO. Silence means NO. #fyp #saa #april #sasurvivor
