FAQ #10: Are you paid by companies involved in clear-cutting? Answer: The company I work for exclusively focuses on tree planting. We do not engage in cutting trees. Our mission is to reforest areas that have undergone previous clearing. Given the size of the wood industry, planting trees is crucial to reclaiming our forests and make sure we sustain for our future needs. The tree planting contracts we often undertake come from logging companies that are legally obliged to replant all the trees they cut down. Most of the land we plant on is government-owned and designated as a tree farm. While some of the trees I'm currently planting may eventually be harvested, the logistics of their removal have not been established, and it may be a long time before they are cut. Therefore, there is a good chance that they may never be harvested. Question asked by: @thedollcol #trees #treeplanting #treeplanter #planttrees #plantingtrees
