On this day in 1984, “Crazy” which I co-wrote with Kenny Rogers when I was nineteen, hit #1 on the @billboard Country Singles chart. I had a long professional and personal relationship with Kenny which lasted to the end of his life. In 2008, I hosted a fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Charities and Kenny was my special surprise guest. In addition to performing a bunch of his hits, it was the one time we got to sing “Crazy” together and I’m so grateful someone filmed it. What a legend.

Thirty years ago today “Now and Forever” hit #1 on the Billboard AC chart where it remained for eleven straight weeks. It also reached #7 on the Hot 100 and is still one of my most played and requested songs. Thanks to all who were a part of making it so successful. ✌🏻❤️
