Almond Croissants π₯π€ 4-6 store bought/premade croissants 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 teaspoon almond extract 1 cup almond flour 1/2 cup sliced almonds Powdered sugar for topping simple syrup: 1/3 cup granulated sugar 1/3 cup water Preheat oven to 350 1. Start by making the simple syrup. Melt down sugar and water in a pan over low-med heat until the sugar has completely dissolved. Remove from heat and set aside. 2. For the almond filling, combine butter and sugar. Mix until smooth. 3. Next add egg, vanilla, almond milk extract, almond flour and pinch of salt. Mix until fully incorporated. Add mixture to piping bag or gallon storage bag. 4. Slice open premade/store bought croissants. 5. Brush simple syrup on the entire inside of the croissant: 6. Pipe filling on the inside of the croissant and lightly on top. 7. Dip the top part of the croissant into the sliced almonds. 8. Place croissants on a lined baking sheet.
