Yesterday, Sunday, March 17, while we were filming the boats on the Miami River as usual, we recorded a tragic incident. Apparently, a boy fell from a boat into the river (we don't have the exact moment) and couldn't stay afloat. A guy on a jet ski nearby immediately jumped into the water to help, as well as passengers from nearby boats, but it was unsuccessful. The @miamidadepd divers conducted a search, and after 20 minutes submerged, they managed to find the boy. @miamidadefirerescue administered first aid, and he was then transported to the hospital. A week ago, at Haulover Sandbar, a person drowned after falling into the water and being swept away by the Haulover Inlet current. We want to make these incidents public so that our local community/tourists stays alert and takes precautions. We don't want to lecture about what to do, alcohol and drug consumption, illegal charters in Miami, etc., but we have a responsibility to use our platforms not only for entertainment but also to show content that educates our audience and tries to change a reality that is getting out of control in Miami. Our prayers and respects are with the person involved and their family. A video with all the details of the incident is posted on YouTube, and I'll leave the link in the stories. #BoatZone #OnlyinDade #BoatFails
