info
Salp is a marine invertebrate that moves by contracting & pumping water through its gelatinous body. It feeds on plankton through its internal feeding filters. When the plankton is plentiful, the salp can clog & sink to the sea floor. This sinking salp carries carbon & nutriets to the sea floor. Small fish can also use salp as a home, protection, or food. Salp do not have a brain or central nervous system. This salp was quickly placed back in the ocean. #salp #seasalp #tunicates #ocean #diving
