They provide insulation, help me to fly silently, and are essential for my camouflage. That's why I take great care to keep them in top condition. While I do enjoy standing in my bird bath to cool off on a hot day, I much prefer a refreshing spray. I'll spread my wings and let the water mist over me, preening each feather carefully to ensure that no droplets are left behind. And when I need to really get the dust out, nothing beats a good old fashioned dust bath! I'll burrow down into the fine sand and fluff my feathers up, creating a cloud of dust that lifts away any dirt or oils. Trust me, the effort is worth it – it’s all about maintaining that pristine owl aesthetic 🦉💅 #owls #cute #birds
