Clean and prep *sand if rough and uneven. Prime- we use Kilz brand Paint 2 coats of base color- we use Benjamin Moore floor and porch paint Determine your grid pattern Make a template out of wood or cardboard to trace pattern Mark the diamonds you need to paint to keep track Tape the outside of line of the diamonds that need paint. Do NOT tape inside the line You should end up with large and small taped diamonds The diamonds marked for paint should be he large diamonds Paint the large diamonds with 2 coats Remove tape Once fully cured seal it and enjoy

Turns out I could have done this with “bar keepers friend” in under 10 minutes. But I didnt have any on hand, nor the desire to drive and buy some. So instead I went 4 rounds of ketchup, some baking soda, lots of scrubbing, gagging and then a lime & salt paste to finish. But in the end-it worked.
