info
Most houseplant nurserys grow the plants in the cheapest compost possible. So, when you buy your plant it’s often compacted, lacking in nutrients and root bound. When you buy a new houseplant this is the first thing you should do: Repot into coir (available from the tiktok shop). Coir will give your plant more room to grow, a loose, high draining soil to stop root rot and will absorb water and added nutrients into the coir fibres to give your plants better access to the things it needs to produce new growth and stay healthy. Coir doesn’t compact over time nor does it breakdown easily. Not only is the structure better, the fibres hold moisture for longer so your plant can remain in the same soil for wayyy longer than nursery compost, staying healthier for longer AND being easier to look after. #houseplants #planttok #repotting #coir #monstera #planthacks #plantcare #gardentok #fyp
