Replying to @project2507 here you go. I am not very proficient with a straight razor. I normal enjoy a weekend shave with it as I like to take my time and go slow. There is no guard between the blade and your skin. Every razor has a learning curve for which you grow more comfortable and proficient as you use it. Today I jumped back to my @Naked Armor Razors Shavette with replacement blades. This is a great straight razor to learn on. Having a great shave kit is also key to help get a close smooth shave.
