info
This is the women’s Gregory Kalmia pack. I originally purchased the regular size because it's all they had in store and I’m impatient. Thinking the only difference was a wider waist belt I planned to just get an extender. However, upon further research, there were a few differences in the plus-size model that made it worth switching out. After wearing the regular pack around the house I noticed the shoulder straps were digging into my armpits. Not only does the plus size have longer straps they are set wider apart for a more natural fit. This small change made a huge difference in comfort. As far as the waist belt, it buckled no problem without having to adjust anything. Not only is the belt itself longer but the pockets sit farther on the side of the hips for easier access to the pockets. The sides also extend and retract to adjust the amount of support you prefer. You can see in the side profile the regular version has the side panels pulled all the way out and they still don't round my side. The last picture shows how wide the belt goes, the website says it is made for a size 2X-6X. The only other difference is the gear capacity, the regular is 50 liters and the plus is 60 liters. Overall I'm very happy with the switch. For reference I'm a size 22-24, 2X-3X. They also make these packs for men.
