The Jewel 💎 Another reel repost and this one I'll never forget. I was determined to find a ruby tailed wasp for the first time. It was 2022 and I looked at the inaturalist app and found 3 sightings in different locations, but still within the Shropshire vicinity. I saw a photo of one on the app which was sitting on a wooden post, I checked the location and found this sign post, I waited and waited... And then suddenly a small flicker of blue landed on the post and flew off again within a second. I then brought a camping chair and sat and waited for at least 2 hours till it came back. On the second time it came back it stayed still for a few seconds which allowed me to get this photo. I was so over the moon that I finally got a shot of a ruby tailed wasp, that I edited and chucked this reel out on the same day! #macro #photography
