Videography is one of the many things I have hyperfixated on in the past, so I happen to know a lot about taking better videos! Here are some additional details that didn’t fit in the slides: 1. Unless you’ve paid for first row floor seats, chances are it’s very hard to get a good close-up video of your favourite artists, especially in a venue that doesn’t allow non-phone cameras. The most important thing is not getting the most expensive camera out there, but being able to make the most out of what you have. 2. Most of the time, the telephoto (3x) lens works the best in shooting good quality videos that are also zoomed in. If you don’t have the same phone as me, as long you zoom in/out by switching lenses (clicking in the bottom), it should still have a good outcome in comparison to zooming by pinching the screen. 3. I keep seeing videos on TikTok that recommend you to shoot on 4K. As appealing as this sounds, this doesn’t really do much and you’re just wasting storage space. Most of the time when you upload 4K videos to social platforms, they would end up compressing them to 1080p anyway, so might as well shoot at 1080p. I personally like shooting at 60fps because it gives a smoother “expensive” feel, but it’s really personal preference. 4. I use the Moment app mainly for the focus, as sometimes I would be using the telephoto zoom lens and the regular camera app wouldn’t focus on where I want it to despite trying to focus on it a million times. Ever since i discovered the app, i’ve been using it to take high quality photos/videos that need a bit more manual adjusting (i.e. taking photos of the night sky from a plane). It is not a free app, but I do think that it was worth it. final notes: I currently own an iPhone 13Pro, which is not the latest model but also not that bad of a phone either. I fully understand that this comes with a lot of benefits but it also has a bunch of limitations. Remember, it’s always better to have a less advanced equipment that you master and not an advanced one that you’re clueless with. #erastour #edutok #singapore #iphonetricks #concertvideo #taylorswift #iphonevideography
