Soup dumpling recipe at home!🤤 After a couple of attempts I figured out an easier way to make one of my favourite dishes - Xiao long bao, soup dumplings!! This faster method still tastes so good and is better for beginners 😋🤤 (if you’re making these be sure to start the day before to allow the jelly time to set) INGREDIENTS Soup jelly - 500ml chicken stock - 1 tbsp light soy sauce - 1 tbsp dark soy sauce - 1 tsp sesame oil - 1 tbsp shoaxing cooking wine - 1 tsp salt - 1 tsp white pepper - 1 tsp Chinese 5 spice - Bloomed gelatine (100ml water with 1, 12g sachet of gelatine) sprinkle the gelatine onto the water a little at a time until sachet is finished and let sit for 10 mins until bloomed Dumpling filling - 500g pork mince - 5 spring onions - 30g chives - 1 inch grated ginger - 2 cloves garlic - 1 tbsp light soy - 1 tbsp dark soy - 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar - 1 tsp salt - 1 tsp sesame oil - 1 pack dumpling wrappers METHOD Soup - In a pan add all of the soup ingredients apart from the bloomed gelatine, bring to the boil - Reduce to a simmer then add in the bloomed gelatine and stir until dissolved - Pour the mixture into a tub and place in the fridge overnight Dumpling filling - Mix all of the prepared dumpling ingredients together in a bowl - Remove the soup jelly from the fridge and chop it into small pieces before adding into the mix and stirring well - Add a tbsp of filling to a dumpling wrapper and wet the edges, bring each side in pinching together until a pleated dumpling is formed - Fill up a pan half way with water and add a steamer (you can pan fry and steam in a pan if you don’t have a steamer) - Add the dumplings to the steamer, put the lid on and steam for 8 minutes - Remove and serve with optional toppings / garnishes - ENJOY!! #recipe #soupdumplings #easyrecipe #recipesoftiktok #dumplings #recipesforyou
