Kimchi restock day! It surprises a lot of people when I tell them I don’t make my own kimchi. I used to, but a couple years ago my friend gave me some kimchi that was shipped from Korea, and I noticed a huge difference in taste. It’s WAY better!! It makes sense that kimchi made in Korea would taste better, but I found out the reason behind why. It’s the cabbage! It tastes different because the soil and environment are different. I don’t know how to explain it but it has a much earthier flavor, and I’m sure their gochugaru is better too. This kimchi is SO GOOD. I love that it’s actually kind of spicy too! I’m sure there are similar services across the country, but this business only operates in OC and LA as far as I know (I could be wrong).
