Replying to @oopseedaisee alcohol markers are powerful stuff! I am far from an expert on alcohol inks or markers, but I did a bit of googling on why this happens. It's above my pay grade and from what I can understand it has to do with the shapes of the alcohol molecules and how they hold less surface tension than water...🧪👨‍🔬👩‍🔬🧑‍🔬⚗️ any scientists on here please sound off in the comments so we can better understand why pretty much no paper is immune to the bleeding effects of alcohol based inks. I think the best option is specialty paper...or to just use what paper you have, but you'll only be able to use one side and it's a good idea to put a barrier between pages. The sketchbook in this video is the one I sell and it's 140lb cold pressed cotton paper. p.s.
