I will like him until the end of my days! And I meant that, like, because love is NOT the beginning, but more so a means to deepen the likeness that started it all. Love is what happens when your likeness for someone runs deeper than any other human being can reach. When you look at someone and they bring you joy. When you are next to someone and their presence brings you peace. When the thought of hurting them brings you to tears because “I could never…”. Likeness breaths life into love and gives it room to bloom constantly like a rose in a winter storm. Jonathan does so much behind the scenes that we don’t show. When I’m overwhelmed, he sees it before I can say it and takes over. He cares for me, and my constantly struggling health, with a level of compassion and patience only God can give. He allows me to rest, really rest, as he cares for our children, and our home, in ways that I wish I had seen at their age. He is and will always remain my earthly version of heaven and the human form of Gods unwavering love for me. His love language is acts of service so I always strive to do things that will bring him peace. He loves to eat breakfast, even when he doesn’t have time lol, so I gave a day of rest and breakfast in bed. Our days run so fast that I’m not always able to catch him before he grabs his favorite bowl of cereal lol. But today, I forced my hand and made him see what he deserved. Doing something for your partner is one thing, but doing something that’s intentionally and exclusively for them hits different. Looking to make your love feel special, not just on VDay, but any day? To celebrate our financial triumph in this season of our marriage, God has moved us to finally share our journey with finances in our 12 years of marriage. One of our greatest lessons in all of this was realizing how good God had been and how we were never good stewards of those blessings. It wasn’t always that we didn’t have money, but more so that we didn’t know what to do with that money. We didn’t utilize it to a positive advantage and was too busy living, instead of preparing first. We are sharing this so you can see that if God did it for us, he will do it for you. Call on that mountain to move and it indeed will, in God’s divine timing. We pray that this gives you a bit of hope, hope that we know we needed in those hard times, and helps you to see that the light is coming, just give God time. I immediately became so grateful for her comment because though we arent prefect, our love for each other helps us to never look like what we are going through, and definitely nothing we’ve been through. We have been asked before to share what our work days look like and now that we have pivoted our content to more “day in the life,” we are so excited to share glimpse into our day. We never want anyone to think it is just easy to work with your spouse. But, we must admit, when your spouse is your best friend, there will never be a moment that will take this level of joy away. We have days where we don’t see eye to eye, whether about the business or our everyday life. You deserve a love that will step back when God tells you it’s time for YOU to shine on your own. A love that won’t feel defeated because of the places God takes but will support you in the way Gods path for you requires them to. Last night, Jonathan not only felt inclined to chauffeur me to the @riskydinnerconvo event, but he also made sure to film the content for me before the event started and this prayer, THIS PRAYER, top everything off so beautifully! The whole day, he was reminding of things I needed to do, taking over around the house so that i had time to do hair and makeup, ironed my dress (and got frustrated because side it wasn’t ironing properly and offered to run out and find me another dress real quick lol). I glowed brightly last night because he prepared my spirit, MY SOUL, to be a witness for Gods grace, mercy and favor through sharing my testimony! I was so nervous, until i read his message. While we experienced this story together, i appreciate him recognizing that no one can tell it better than myself. Never, ever, allow anyone to dim your light because theirs is struggling. Whew, what a full day we had lol! This was Saturday and we were truly all over the place. 1. @krusteaz makes pumpkin bread mix, sold @costco , and they make amazing pancakes. Now, the mix is a little more difficult to cook as a pancake than typical pancake mix but who wants perfect pancakes, right lol. 2. London and I have been syncing a lot in the last 4-6 months. Being that I’m the glue that holds this family together lol and she is the reliable big sister, having both of us down at the same time every month is TOUGH on the rest of the family. But, with Jonathan here to love us both through it, we overcome so beautifully. With a damaged cervix, i don’t know how I’d make it without him! 3. Reign is such a Queen. Sometimes she wants all the hugs and kisses and sometimes, she doesn’t lol. Like girl, stop acting like we are trying to hurt you lol. We just want some love lol. 4. Jonathan’s favorite thing to do is make forts for the girls and he will literally make it out of anything. He had that type of childhood and I’m so grateful the girls do to. 5. Yeah those caps stayed on for about an hour at the pool and the big girls ended up still needing their hair washed 😩. 6. Bible study as a family is so rewarding. The girls learn so much from church but it’s such a blessing to ensure they are growing in a Godly way ourselves. Even Reign had her little children’s Bible and knows what it is. God is so amazing!
