I have become frustrated with people not realizing I'm blind in the hospital. Getting poked in the mouth or teeth with a thermometer due to the lack of warning has happened too many times. A few days ago, I wrote on the board myself, but it's crucial for healthcare professionals to communicate effectively with those who can't see. This has been a significant challenge during my stay. Even my hospital bed lacks accessibility; there's no braille or tactile indicators to differentiate the call button or adjust the bed. These small issues accumulate and can be overwhelming for a blind individual after a week here! #overit #hospital #accessibilitymatters #dobetter
