Nobody wrote this song. Or, at least a person didn’t write this song. This Indigo plant did. Is it even a song? These are the questions we ask ourselves at @plantwave. We made this device to read electrical signals of plants and translate them into sound. The parameters we chose to represent the data are based on music theory, but the output from the system and the sequence of notes that happen are something we could have never planned. It’s similar to a wind chime. Yes, there are a few notes available to be struck on the chime, but who is writing that music? Is it the wind? Is it the designer of the wind chime?
