Part 7.5: repairing my husband’s shoes- prepping for the end A lot of you have mentioned this is more of a reconstruction then a repair… You’re right! When I first started this endeavor I wasn’t exactly sure all the steps that would need to take place. Once I dived in I came across a few unexpected ones. For instance when I detached the sole from the top layer I noticed the inner sole was partially nonexistent. I’ve got a replacement coming asap! I am also quite literally waiting for glue to dry. It has been raining here for a few days. The shoe has to@be kept outside because of the toxic vapors so the “24-72” hours it takes the glue to dry is on the higher end. When it is dry I will cement the new rubber soles to the bottom! Bare with me! It’ll be worth it in the end! For those of you just tuning in, these are my husbands most beloved shoes. He has worn them for about 15 years and he would love to wear them for another 15+ years. Unfortunately, they are extremely beat up and @ipathfootwear no longer make shoes. So I am finally giving these shoes new life! Watch my other reels to see what I’ve done so far! Follow along to see the end result!
