What weâre not going to do is hide ourselves. Hereâs what weâre going to do instead. #1: Decide that the body of TODAY is worthy of wearing clothes you feel good in. The longer you wait for the âperfect body/sizeâ to come, the longer you remain a match to waiting. You also reinforce the belief that something is wrong with the body you have right now, which quite franklyâŠ.is just silly. #2: Start to let go of the baggy clothes. Baggy clothing actually does the opposite of what you think it does. We use it as a security blanket to cover parts of our bodies weâre not comfortable with. But in reality, baggy fabric is what I call a âvisual compoundedâ. It actually makes the area it sits on top of look biggerâŠnot smaller. It puts visual emphasis on the area youâre most likely NOT trying to put emphasis on. #3: Choose something more fitted. This may feel uncomfortable if youâve gotten really used to seeing your body in baggy clothes. Your eye needs to get used to the change. Your fit doesnât need to be skin tightâŠ.but like all the examples in the video, weâre looking for something that skims over the natural shape of your body. #4: The most defined horizontal line in your outfit should sit above the lower part of your stomach. This will also take some getting used to if itâs not what youâre doing. Having no definition through your midsection, just like #2, will make your body appear larger than it is. If youâre not comfortable with this on its own, add an outer layer over top like a blazer or cardigan.
