💛 Everlasting Love 💛 💛 My botanical casts live on forever and cost around the same as a bunch of flowers delivered. 💛 I wanted to create this heart cast as it’s been a while since I’ve made a botanical heart and I had to perfect frame. 💛 I bought the Chrysanthemums reduced for £1 last week but potted with roots so was hoping to keep them going a bit longer. 💛 Chrysanthemums generally symbolise longevity, fidelity, joy and optimism. 💛 In Greek superstition. There, the flower is seen as a protector against evil spirits. 💛 People use the flowers to make medicine. Chrysanthemum is used to treat chest pain (angina), high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, fever, cold, headache, dizziness, and swelling. 💛 The flower is believed to bring good luck to households and businesses, and represents a life of ease. 💛 I know it’s not everyone’s favourite flower a bit like a carnations reputation but these blooms offer so much and are a bit of a secret gem. 💛 I think the heart came out well. Grab your silicone and follow these steps: 1️⃣ Prepare your object: Choose what you want to mold and ensure it's clean. 2️⃣ Set up: Create a work area with proper ventilation and cover surfaces. 3️⃣ Mix silicone: Follow instructions on your silicone kit. 4️⃣ Pour slowly: Carefully pour the mixed silicone over your object. 5️⃣ Remove air bubbles: Gently tap or shake to release trapped air. 6️⃣ Cure time: Allow the silicone to set according to the kit's instructions. I like to leave mine for at least 24hrs. 7️⃣ Demold: Once cured, carefully remove your object from the silicone mold. 8️⃣ Optional but i like to paint the surfave with some clay to add a natural look. Or you could oaint as desired. Voila!
