No more pencil necks! Laying neck curls are my go to for neck gains. These work the muscles that flex the neck. Mainly the sternocleidomastoid which has the most potential for growth. Start with 3x20 a couple of times per week. I prefer to use a sandbag or deadball because they're more comfortable on my head. You can also use a weight plate with a towel for padding. There are other exercises for the neck you can do but in my opinion this is your best and easiest 'bang for your buck' exercise for hypertrophy.
