no fail prime rib roast 😍 ingredients - 5-10lb rib roast (does not HAVE to be prime , usda choice is fine too!) - kosher salt - a binder for the meat (I use Japanese bbq but oil will work fine) - favorite steak seasoning - 2 tbsp butter - 1 tbsp oil for the horseradish sauce - 1 cup Greek yogurt - 1/2 cup mayo - 2tbsp horseradish (adjust to your liking) - 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (or any spicy mustard) - 1 tbsp white vinegar 🔗 linking a thermometer and the steak seasoning I used in my store front #amazonassociate ⬆️ 1. Coat rib roast in kosher salt and let sit in fridge uncovered up to 24hrs 2. Preheat oven to 275° 3. Remove from fridge and coat in a binder of choice and heavily season with your favorite steak seasonings 4. Let sit for 10-20 min before placing in oven to let seasonings adhere to meat 5. Insert oven safe thermometer and set to 120° (for medium rare) and 125° (for medium) 6. When internal temp reaches 120° (roughly 15-20 min per lb of rib roast) 7. Rest the rib roast for 20-30 min lightly covered in foil 8. Get a pan scorching hot with butter and oil and sear each side for about 30 sec - 1 min on each side 9. Slice and serve!
