my second dinner party since starting culinary school and i am trying my best at a 5-course korean x french fusion inspired menu! i don’t cook korean food often but when @wagyuaffair sent me some meat, my first thought was to make dumplings and using techniques i have learned from culinary school @iceculinary the ideas just kept on coming from there. before the main dishes even come out i wanted to try using seasonal ingredients for the first time like parsnips, butternut squash, and kimchi is a must for banchan in my mind. then we start with the dish that inspired it all dumplings in a chicken and mushroom consomme, i wanted to highlight the clarity of the broth and this was my favorite presentation of the dinner. then the bibimbap with tartare on top which i used a korean hot mustard for and i actually gave the stone pots to my friends afterwards which i thought was a fun gift! then my favorite tasting dish of the night the wagyu picanha with gochujang beurre blanc sauce that i experimented on myself and i think it is so rich and delicious it was my favorite component on any of the plates i made. then the a5 wagyu, nothing much to say except i wanted to let the quality of the beef shine and my friends loved it. lastly was dessert which i thought was an amazing idea (thanks to my chef @itis_nin for this idea) but i was running behind and didnt have the time to perfect it like the savory courses. overall i was prepping for so many hours, exhausted, and so happy with the result. hope you all enjoyed there was so much to learn from this entire experience and if you have any questions feel free to comment below or message me :D #fyp #culinary #culinaryarts #culinarystudent #chef #food #cook #cooking #dinner #meal #dinnerparty #eat #serve #prep #learn #recipe #fun #taste #wagyu #korean #french #fusion #friends #journey #growth #foodtok #cooktok
