Since much of the circulating information about cooking oils is of poor scientific content, it’s not as simple as saturated fats, MUFA, or PUFA as we used to think. Therefore, it can be beneficial to swap more than one type of oil to maintain a balanced essential fatty acid intake. While the choice of cooking oil is important, it’s just one piece of the dietary puzzle. It’s always preferable to minimize high-fat cooking methods and prioritize baking, steaming, boiling, grilling, or stir-frying with minimal oil. Avoid reheating or reusing oil at all times.
