MAKE YOUR OWN TAKIS! Everyone has been asking me for this one, so I finally bought a cute little fryer and made them! It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be and the entire family gave them a 10/10! Recipe below! Ingredients: For the seasoning • 1 tablespoon of cayenne pepper • 1 teaspoon of salt • 1 tablespoon of powdered cheese • 1 teaspoon of ancho chili powder • 1 teaspoon of Tajin • 1/4 teaspoon of onion powder For the dough • 1 cup masa flour • 1/2 teaspoon sugar • 1 teaspoon salt • 1/2 cup - 2/3 cup water Instructions: 1. Put all of your dough ingredients into a food processor and process until you can form a ball with it. 2. Make small balls with the dough and then put them between two pieces of greased wax paper and press down firmly to flatten. 3. Using your fingers, roll the dough to form small tubes. 4. Heat up canola or vegetable oil and then fry for about 6 minutes or until golden. 5. Add all your spices to a bag and shake thoroughly so they’re combined. 6. Toss your takis with olive oil and then add to the bag of spices and shake thoroughly so they’re fully covered.
