Each species of shark can behave differently. Even different individuals of the same species can behave differently. This shark in particular named kalihi is known to keep every shark diver on their toes. Tiger sharks are generally a shy species & her confident and dominant behavior is very rare. I always hesitate to show these moments when sharks look scary because this type of behavior is rare & highly unlikely as a species overall. But it would be irresponsible of me only to show the gentle moments as they are wild animals & apex predators & we need to remember their abilites when interacting with them. #savesharks #sharkdiving #tigershark #sharkdiver

I love the curiosity of blue sharks & how close they can come to investigate! They are really quite adorable looking but it’s important to remember they are still wild animals that are very capable of doing damage. This spot is probably one of my favorite scuba spots in Hawaii! I don’t get to scuba very often but really enjoy it when I do. I actually used to work as a dive master but traded it for simpler diving. Breathing underwater & getting to spend more time under there allows for more wildlife to potentially pass by like these humpback whales! You cant swim with humpbacks in the US but every so often you get lucky if they pass unexpectedly! If you want to swim with humpbacks I have a few spots left for a trip where its legal to swim with them. Theres nothing quite like it!
