I just this Silverado dropped off for tuning a while back. I made a startup calibration for it and decided I was going to take it for a quick drive down the road and back just to make sure there were no major issues and it was actually ready for tuning. I barely made it to the end of my driveway before I heard a very concerning knocking sound coming from the engine. It definitely sounded like it was coming from the bottom end. I knew the engine had been worked on before because it obviously had a camshaft in it, but I was uncertain if the work was done correctly. I was also concerned about the quality of the parts that were put into the engine at this point. after digging in a little bit, I noticed that one of the lifters seem to be pumping and unusually large amount of oil.
