Task paralysis has been hitting me hard lately 😩 With task paralysis, you may feel behind on everything yet can’t get started on anything. This can lead to frustration, shame, anxiety and poor self esteem. 3 things that help ease the burden a bit for me stuck in this are: 1. Self-compassion. It is so easy to beat myself up, or to feel lazy (maybe even be called lazy by others). I recognize being mean to myself is not going to help me complete tasks any more quickly or fully. We all deserve self kindness no matter how much or how little we accomplish each day. 🤗 2. Break the task down into the teeny-tiniest of smaller tasks - and count each one as completing a task! Sometimes I set the timer for one minute of work at a time - and consider it a job well done. 🏆 3. Schedule frequent breaks and value-aligned rewards. Sometimes I’ll go outside for a change of scenery, cuddle one of my animals, grab a coffee/tea or change an outfit. Anything that fills your inner battery just a bit can count as a reward! 🥰 What helps you most with task paralysis? #adhdtaskparalysis #taskparalysis #taskinitiation #analysisparalysis #neurodivergenttiktok #neurodivergenttok #executivedysfuntion #adhdexecutivedysfunction #adhdtoks
