With Figma’s new text variables, you may be wondering when to use Styles and when to use Variables on your text. If you’re designing in a design system, it’s a pretty easy decision: use Variable so that you can setup dynamic and modular text styling. If your ui design is in a smaller project or if the text styles don’t need to be as dynamic, you can easily stick with styles! Figma just dropped some major variables updates! If you’re a design systems designer you’ll finally be able to use Text variables and use color variables in your gradients. This is a big update for design systems designers and figma has officially removed the “Beta” tag from variables. I think the need to use variables over styles in your ui/ux design workflow is tipping even heavier toward using Variables! #figma #figmadesign #designsystem #productdesigner

Replying to @Two Short Floofs If you don't have experience in ux design research, don't try to fake that you do in your case studies. It's so much better to demonstrate one or two ux design tactics that you used in specific detail walking through exactly why you used it and how you used it to make your design better. Ultimately, you HAVE to make sure the end UI design you show is educated by the ux strategy you present in your case study. As long as you do that, you can let your skills shine without having to fake uxr experience. #uiux #uxdesign #uxresearch #designportfolio
