Sometimes I am all about tiny details and doing an intricate design. Sometimes I want more of an instant gratification piece and will do a simpler design or a design that is really satisfying for me to paint. Sometimes I just want to play around and experiment with a piece. I have found that for me it’s important to pay attention to these instincts and go with it. Forcing myself to do a design I am not feeling at the time always shows. So I always listen to what my heart wants to paint before starting or working on a piece.
