Cat Fact of the Day: The calico cat first broadcasted in 2021 and has since become a regular favorite in Tokyo’s Shinjuku district. At 7 am, the cat wakes up after the broadcast starts. It appears throughout the day, in-between commercials and/or advertisements. Passerby can hear the cat’s meows, since the billboard is accompanied by sound. The sound is turned off at 11 pm, but the visuals continue until 1 am when the cat “goes to sleep” and the broadcasts end. In addition, the cat tries to “interact” with the passerby by watching them or “swatting” at them. New animation has given the cat a police hat, a zero gravity experience, and a meet-and-greet with Sadako Yamamura, one of Japan’s most iconic horror movie characters. Cross Shinjuku livestreams the billboard on their YT channel (【公式】夕口人新宿 沙彐ン). This 3D billboard is similiar to the one in Shibuya which features Hachiko, an Akita dog famous for waiting for his owner to come back after his owner passed away at his workplace. #catsoftiktok #cat #cattok #cats #catperson #catlady #catfacts #funfacts #leanontiktok #meow #cutecats #tokyo #cutecat
