It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I compose this post. Sadly, my longtime client and friend, Richie Legouri has passed away. Those of you that have been with me for awhile will be familiar with the builds ‘Eve’ and more notable the “Serpent” which Rich later donated to the Audrain Auto Museum in Newport, RI. Richie was the one who commissioned me to make them. Richie found me very early in my career and believed in me when most wouldn’t, a 26 year old kid struggling to make a name for myself. Despite my humble surroundings (let’s face it, my leased shop was literally falling down around me) he chose to see the potential in me. And he trusted me at my word.. No contracts, just a hand shake deal. Anyone that knew him, knew what an amazing heart he had for people. He even traveled 8hrs to attend my wedding 🤯 Richie was such a kind, caring, compassionate person. To know him was a blessing. One that I will never forget and always be appreciative of. Richie lived life to the fullest and had a passion for high performance bikes doing tracks day well into his 70’s, riding horses, and dirt bikes. He was truly an inspiration. He will be missed dearly by all and he will never be forgotten.
