I can now officially say I have done a private chef job in NYC!!! 🔪👩‍🍳☺️ This feels surreal because to be honest I don’t think I could’ve even imagined being where I am today a year ago. I’ve said before and I’ll say it again, I am so happy I pursued my passion and get to do fun jobs like this!! I had SO much fun working on this project 🍣🤩 The girls did an amazing job (like seriously these twelve year olds knew what they were doing!!) and they were super appreciative to me, and the parents, for hosting such a fun birthday celebration. And the answer is……….NO!! You should NOT be washing your chicken or poultry before preparing it🐓 I’ve gotten this question soooo many times that it felt necessary to make this PSA! Our poultry nowadays goes through such an intensive process before it reaches us that most of the “washable” things are taken care of. If you do want to get rid of anything, all you need is a wipe down with some paper towel — both easier and SAFER since it won’t spread bacteria in your sink!
