We are west of Boston at our New England Tudor build, and today we’re going to talk about some of the critical air-sealing details that @nsbuilders pays attention to before we insulate this house. While most of this home sits directly on top of the foundation, the front has joists that overhang the foundation. So on this project, we have floor joists that pass the blocking and create gaps. For this application, we’re going to be using the @loctiteglue TITE FOAM Gaps & Cracks for its flexibility as well as its adhesion. We want to make sure that we’re considering the building’s movement as well as the dissimilar materials. In terms of adhesion, the nice part about this foam is that it’s designed to work for multiple materials.
