It’s always a little nerve wracking sharing deep and personal stuff on here! And there is only so much that can be said in a 1 minute video, especially because our trip to Nepal so far has been so full. When I first decided to bring Burt (the shot glass) along on our honeymoon, I had no intention of leaving him behind. But I could just tell he wanted to stay! To be honest, pottery has been causing a bit of stress for me these last few months and I was looking forward to getting a break. But when I was sitting at my dad’s memorial, I felt these threads of connection and realized how deeply intertwined pottery is with my past, my future and my heart. My dad was someone who followed his passions relentlessly and he is a huge source of inspiration for me. His thing was climbing big mounds of dirt, and I guess my thing is turning small mounds of dirt into silly faces.
