I’ve been offered paid collaborations for all sorts of crazy things, but this one was truly intriguing. If you haven’t heard of the rabbit r1 yet, go check it out: https://shorturl.at/fmrNV And while you’re there, check out their amazing world of AI rabbit companions that live in their OS—their style and design caught my attention. And although I haven't had a chance to play with the device yet (it was officially released 3/31/24) I genuinely think it has amazing potential, and I've pre-ordered mine. But what sealed the deal on this collab was that rabbit wasn't looking for a LEGO replica of the r1 (which I would have turned down). They were looking for something inspired by it. Throw in how geometric their rabbits are, their concept of the ‘rabbit hole’ in their OS, my own (tempered) optimism about AI, and the fact that caveman literally begged me to do it…and I was sold. My friends, I give you the r1 rabbit in LEGO bricks. It was a journey, but ultimately caveman was got what he was after.
