French toast casserole for Easter morningπ° Yall i cannot tell you how GOOD this is & perfect to make the night before so all you have to do is pop it in the oven for Easter brunch! What you need: β’ 1 loaf of brioche bread β’ 1 cup of brown sugar β’ 1 stick of butter β’ 6 eggs β’ 2 cups of milk β’ 1 tablespoon vanilla β’ cinnamon β’ optional toppings: fruit, powdered sugar and maple syrup Directions: 1. The night before easter, mix 1 stick of butter with 1 cup of brown sugar on a stove. Pour into a greased baking dish and spread evenly. 2. Cut 1 loaf of brioche bread into triangles. Place on top of the mixture in your baking dish. 3. In a separate mixing bowl, combine 6 eggs, 2 cups of milk, 1 tablespoon vanilla and a dash of cinnamon. Pour over your bread and make sure all pieces are covered. 4. Add sliced fruit, cover with foil and refrigerate overnight. 5. On Easter morning, uncover your dish and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. 6. Top with powdered sugar and serve warm with maple syrup.
