🇺🇸 Striped Buttercream Cake 🇺🇸 A few tips to have a successful experience making a striped cake with buttercream: -Use very cold/frozen cake layers -Fill the cake layers and crumb coat right out of the freezer. -After the crumb coat, place in freezer for 10-15 minutes. -Apply a super thick layer of frosting and use the stripe comb immediately after application. -Fill in any gaps in the frosting stripe outlines, and go over again with cake comb to define the stripes. -Place in freezer again for 10-15 minutes. -Apply your other color/s to the indents of the stripes. -Smooth out with your straight cake scraper. -Make sure you scrape off any excess frosting and heat up scraper unter super hot water or heat element. -Once your cake has a smooth flawless finish, place in freezer to set frosting for 10-15 minutes and then move on to applyting the decorations.
