Do you remember Mo’ne Davis? ⚾️🧢🤔 Yeah, Mo’ne Davis took the sports world by storm in 2014 when she competed with boys at the age of 13 in the Little League World Series. She was the first girl to earn a win and shutout as a pitcher. She completely dominated! Afterwards, she’d publish a book, be featured on the cover of @sportsillustrated, and played softball on scholarship at @_hamptonu (an HBCU 😁). Now, she’s on academic scholarship at Columbia University in New York to study to sports management. 🙏🏾 And no, I don’t have anything bad to present as an update. This a celebration of her excellence and the excellence of her immediate community and family. ✊🏾 This is also a reminder to all parents of athletes that our kids are STUDENTS first. Athletic excellence translates to academic and career excellence as well. Our kids HAVE to go harder off the court/field than they go in it. Let Mo’ne serve as a reminder of how that’s done! ✊🏾⚾️ 🚨Check our (@Ed Post) b!0s for resources, follow us and be sure to also follow Mo’ne. I can’t wait to see what she does next! #littleleagueworldseries #baseball #softball #college #hbcu #columbia #sportsagent #blackhistory #blackgirlsrock #blackgirls #ushistory #fyp #hbcupride
