This post is dedicated to all the brave souls who have faced the darkness of abuse and the heart-wrenching journey of unjustly losing their children to foster care. Being vulnerable enough to share my experiences takes a special kind of energy, but I believe it’s crucial to raise awareness about the challenges many abused women face. 📈 Did you know that nearly 1 in 4 women worldwide experience physical or sexual abuse at the hands of someone they trust? These statistics are harrowing, and they emphasize the urgent need for change. 💔 ✨ But this post isn’t about the pain; it’s about resilience, hope, and never giving up! 🌟 After enduring many trials, I developed the courage to effectively stand up to my father who was my abuser. It was one of the most challenging decision I ever made, but it saved my life and gave me a chance to rebuild. The journey to reunite with my children was filled with hurdles and setbacks. I experienced racism, discrimination and a huge lack of understanding of my situation from my caseworker. And while I understand the foster care system is overwhelmed, with over 400,000 children in the U.S. alone waiting for a safe home, and not enough caseworkers to manage them correctly, it’s important to see that advocacy for improvements in this system to provide better care for vulnerable children and possibly misunderstood family structures is necessary. 💕 I want every survivor to know that healing is possible. Seek support, talk to someone you trust, and never hesitate to ask for help. Remember, you are not alone, and you are worth every ounce of love and kindness this world has to offer. 🌻🌈 Let’s raise awareness, shatter the silence, and create a world where no one has to endure abuse. Together, we can make a difference! 🌍💕 #SurvivorStrong #poundoutabuse #unashamed1 #FosterCareAwareness #NotAlone #BreakTheSilence #HealingJourney #StrengthInUnity #fyp
