Our family’s Deep Fried Pho achieved the prestigious title of BEST TASTE at the renowned Big Tex Choice Awards, held during the State Fair of Texas! With 12 years as concessionaires, winning with a Vietnamese dish is a tremendous honor. We thought about submitting fried pho into the contest over a decade ago, but we weren’t sure how a cultural dish would be received by the public. It’s incredibly uplifting to see it not only being welcomed with open arms, but crowned a winner! My dad takes immense pride in his pho, and the excitement of being summoned over to indulge in it every couple of weeks is always a joy. Even during the challenges posed by the pandemic, he thoughtfully packed a small pot and delivered it to my home, a true testament to his love.
