Plantar fasciitis feels like you’re walking on coals. It’s not fun. The common treatments are orthotics, stiff shoes, immobilizing boots, rolling on frozen bottles, surgery, and pain pills. But none of those work… for long. If you’ve been down that route, then you know. The hard part is that it’s not always a problem just at the feet. If any part of your posterior chain gets stuck, that whole set of tissue hooking onto the bottom of your foot gets stiff. And that pulls things in a bad way and creates pain. Of course, foot movement and restoring length are essential, but don’t forget about the rest of the chain too! Here are a few rep ranges for posterior chain movements that I like: Jefferson curls - 10 Reps Kickstand Single Leg Curl Downs (RDL’S) - 25 Reps/Side Elephant Walks - 25 Reps/Side Hip Internal Rotation Pulses - 25 Reps/Side Of course; there are more. But that’s what I built the Functional Feet program for.
