we’re back baby! season 2 of Izakaya at Home: Tori #nanban Recipe: Tartar Sauce: 2 hardboiled eggs, chopped 1 small cucumber, seeded and finely diced 1/4 white onion, finely diced salt cucumber and onion, let sit for 15 minutes, squeeze to release excess water 1/2 tsp soy sauce squeeze of lemon juice 1/4 tsp black pepper 1/3 cup kewpie mayo mix above ingredients together. store in fridge until needed. nanban sauce: 2 tbsp soy sauce 2 tbsp rice vinegar 2 tbsp mirin 2 tbsp sugar 1 tbsp water combine in small saucepan, heat until sugar dissolves and slightly reduced. set aside. optional, season chicken thighs: 1 tsp soy 2 tsp mirin 1 clove garlic 1/2 tsp grated ginger marinate for 20-30 mins. coat chicken in flour and dip in beaten egg. fry in a neutral oil at 330 degrees until internal temp reaches 165 degrees. remove from oil. pour over nanban sauce. plate on fresh greens and top with tartar sauce. enjoy! #izakaya #japanesefood #friedchicken #tartarsauce #eggsalad #easyrecipe #kewpiemayo
