Always listen to your mom instincts. If something doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t. Today is international Childhood cancer awareness day. 🎗💛 According to a World Health Organization report, about 400,000 children and young adults aged 0–19, get diagnosed with cancer each year and funding for pediatric cancer research remains at 4% of the federal budget. The most common types of cancer in children are leukemia, brain cancer, and certain types of tumours like neuroblastomas and Wilms tumours. According to a WebMD.com report, leukemia is the most common pediatric cancer, and almost one in three children globally may be diagnosed with leukemia. The day aims to raise awareness about the challenges faced by children and families affected by cancer and to advocate for their right to access the best possible treatment and care. It also serves as an opportunity to acknowledge the bravery and strength of children facing cancer and their families. This day encourages everyone to join together to work towards a future where every child with cancer has access to quality care, innovative treatments, and a brighter future. Let us all support the cause and raise awareness on this important day. I will continue to raise awareness for childhood cancers, for funding, research, for treatments and treatment access, and especially for the brave, beautiful kids and all families impacted by this disease. The fight against childhood cancer is difficult, painful, and long. It's full of fear, stress, chaos, and sadness. It ravages a family's emotions and finances. Childhood cancer needs to be a priority. 🎗 #InternationalChildhoodCancerDay #childhoodcancerawareness #childhoodcancer #cancer #leukemia #leucemia #cancerinfantil🎗️💪 #cancerwarrior #cancersucks #leukemiawarrior #leukemiasucks #leukemiasurvivor #cancedsurvivor #advocate #raiseawareness #childhoodcancerawareness🎗 #gogold #survivor #cancerfighter #leukemiawarrior #bloodcancer #symptoms
