Installing Water Underfloor Heating 💦 in a 1930s semi detached house 🏠 You could say I am an over enthusiastic DIYer, but the reality is, I’m just someone who likes learning new things. Apparently, underfloor heating is highly desirable system to have in your home, and as someone who has only experienced it in friends homes, I knew I had to have it for myself. The only issue is, it costs a fortune to install! And with good reason. It’s a lot of hard work. Doing it myself was the only option as I’m not the type of person that will accept I can’t have something that I really want. I’m willing to put in the graft 💪🏼 Luckily I was gifted some of the items, which really helped me keep the costs down. I think the biggest cost of this project was the physical labour. If you’re thinking of attempting this yourself, make sure you’re ready with the hot baths 🛁 . One thing I didn’t mention in the video is how long this project took to complete. From start to finish it took 2 weeks. That’s with the help of my dad and uncle to remove the old kitchen floor. In thing that did stress me out a bit was timing the removal of the old materials with the delivery of the new materials as I had no space on the drive. It sounds like a small issue but it’s important. This has been a huge project, and it’s caused a lot of disruption in hour family home. Particularly since I have a 2 year old in the house. Luckily he loves it. Think one, twice maybe 3 times before starting a project like this. I’m glad I did it because now I know how it’s done. But would I do it again 🧐🤔 I’m not sure. Oh who am I kidding ofc I would 🫣😆 #homerenovation #1930semidetached #houserenovation #renovation #renovationprogress #renovationproject #underfloorheating #wufh #cost #costbreakdown #diy #homeimprovement #ukhomerenovation #homesoftiktok
