I was craving spicy biryani so... Ingredients and steps: Meat Marination: Half kg boneless beef (Or use mutton - lamb ) Half cup fried onions 2 chopped tomatoes Half cup chopped coriander/cilantro 1 tsp coriander powder 1/2 tsp garam masala 1 tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp red chilli powder or paprika 1 tsp salt 1 tbsp dried mint (Because I ran out of fresh mint) 1 packet of bombay biryani masala (Use half packet to make it less spicy) 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste 1 cup yogurt Half cup oil Juice of half lemon Mix everything Let the meat marinate for an hour. After that pressure cook until meat is tender. It took 45 minutes in instant pot. For layering: Take haf cup fried onions 1 sliced tomato Few green chillies Half cup chopped coriander Add 1 tbsp chaat masala Add juice of half lemon to it Add 2 tbsp oil Mix everything and set aside Wash 3 cups basmati rice thoroughly. Boil them in a lot of hot water. Add some salt and a bit of oil in water. Drain the water out once the rice is nearly done. Once the meat is done, add some potatoes to it. Cook until potatoes are soft. Once the potatoes and meat is ready, sprinkle half of the onions mixture. Layer the rice (all of it). Layer with the remaining onion mixture. Add some food colour (Food colour is optional - don't add if you don't want to). Drizzle 2 tbsp oil on it. Cover and cook on low heat for 25-30 minutes.
