This extreme over lining lip trend is all over social media. And here’s the thing: it WORKS on social media. But the minute you take those big juicy overland lips into the real world? No. Just no. In episode one of my new ‘De-Influencing You’ series, I wanted to explain WHY this is so great for online, And so awful off. I’m using the viral Kylie Lip liner / lipstick. The OVERLINED lips work on the internet because it’s possible to use MULTIPLE FILTERS, Plus very specific lining, All while NOT moving your mouth or smiling in the slightest. Here I’ve got on TikTok’s general skin smoothing beauty filter, Plus an added ‘light makeup’ filter. Plus my ring light. All together, they make my red lips look fire. But when I take those things off, It becomes clear exactly what I’ve done. And it looks absolutely ridiculous when I smile. As for the PRODUCT itself? I actually REALLY liked the Kylie lipliner / lipstick (this is shade Mary J, but I also bought Sweater Weather and prefer it. It’s a lot softer). They last forever and are really easy to use. They’re just expensive. But don’t buy them in the hopes that they’ll make your lips a zillion times bigger. Because they won’t. They DON’T. No matter what the internet might say. Online isn’t real. And you’re doing great. x Jeans @zara Top @express Hair @aldocoppolafirenze Lipstick @kyliecosmetics #onlinevsreality #deinfluencingyou
