Wolfie is a goofy-footed skateboarder (right foot forward) so he always starts on the right. Not only can birds see colours, but they can see many more colours than humans can, including ultraviolet light which is invisible to the human eye. They’re also more sensitive to different colour shades as their eyes can filter out certain colours. This might explain why Wolfie and Sharky are sometimes so wary of certain mundane objects in the house for reasons we don’t understand. Like a little bright pink basket! Introducing our upsized flock! 🐦🐤🐥Their previous owner sadly passed away unexpectedly and these little ones needed a home. So we adopted them a few months ago and named them Chip, Joy, Skye and Orange. When they first came, they were scared of humans, and especially hands, and their feathers weren’t in the best state. But slowly and steadily, we got them to lower their fear/flight state with us. Wolfie and Sharky were instrumental in showing them that humans were friends (and the source of yummy treats!!) Now they can all recall well (the most important skill to teach). Their feathers have flourished after lots of sunshine and showers.
